That Girl, That Girl Shelly-Ann!
With long flowing green braids and a yellow and black floral head band, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce etched her name in the history books once again as the Track Queen of the 100m sprint in Beijing on Monday.
Despite not being the fastest out of the blocks, the 28 year-old was able to power down the track, beating out close rivals Dutch sprinter Dafne Schippers and Tori Bowie from the United States, to win her third world championship 100 meters title with a time of 10.76 seconds.
In the same arena where she won her first two Olympic gold medals back in the 2008 Games, Fraser-Pryce snatched up her fifth title in the last six major championships .
“I will always work hard and do my best,” she said. “When I ran the heats, I remembered back at the 2008 Olympic Games when I was a 21-year-old.”
