In an exhilarating match in the European city of Andorra la Vella , the St. Kitts and Nevis National Football team “Sugar Boyz” ended European friendly game with a well-deserved win, defeating the home team Andorra 1-nil on Thursday. This was a historic feat as St. Kitts and Nevis is the first Caribbean Football Union Team to beat a European team on their national soil.
The lone goal of the game was scored by star striker Devaughn Elliott in the first half.
The Sugar Boyz move on the their next match which will be against Estonia, in Estonia on November 17.
This European tour for the St. Kitts-Nevis National Football Team came as the team moved up 11 points, to be ranked at 101 in the FIFA men’s ranking for all confederations.
It is the highest ever ranking for St. Kitts and Nevis on the FIFA list and we couldn’t be more proud of our sweet Sugar Boyz!
